Rick Ayish

Rick has earned a reputation during his more than 40 years of government experience as a knowledgeable governmental affairs and political strategist with extensive experience in health care, insurance and environmental regulation in Ohio. He founded Ohio Capitol Policy Consultants in 1989 and previously served in governmental affairs positions with four Ohio Blue Cross and Blue Shield corporations and the Ohio State Medical Association. In addition, he worked as a Legislative Service Commission intern in the Ohio General Assembly and as an intern in the Office of the City Manager in Toledo.



Mike Toman

Known for keen attention to detail and a grasp of such varied fields as health care, organizational budgeting, and procurement processes, Mike has been with The Success Group since 2000. Prior to joining The Success Group, Mike spent five years lobbying as a senior policy analyst with the County Commissioners Association of Ohio, worked for the Ohio Legislative Budget Office, and the Ohio Supreme Court. Mike served as President of the Ohio Lobbying Association (OLA) and was a member of the OLA Board of Trustees for seven years. Currently, Mike serves on the Board of Trustees for The Advocacy Group (TAG), a select international network of lobbying firms, and on The Ohio State University’s President's Advisory Board. Mike sits on select alumni committees at the John Glenn College of Public Affairs’ Alumni Advisory Committee. Mike earned his Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Criminal Justice at Eastern Michigan University and a Master of Public Administration at The Ohio State's John Glenn College. 



McKenzie K. Davis

McKenzie joined The Success Group in 2004. Prior to joining The Success Group, McKenzie served as the Director of Government Affairs for the Ohio Academy of Nursing Homes. During his career with The Success Group, he has worked on multiple aspects of eight separate state budgets. He has secured significant funding in multiple capital budgets. He has also helped pass numerous pieces of legislation as well as represent clients before administrative agencies. McKenzie has served on numerous boards and commissions over the past 15 years. He previously served nine years on the Ohio Supreme Court Board of Professional Conduct. He was a 2015 Ohio State Bar Foundation Fellow. He served on the 2018 Task Force on the Ohio Disciplinary System. He currently serves on the Ohio Supreme Court Board of Character and Fitness, the Chief Justice Thomas Moyer Legacy Committee and the Alpha Gamma Chapter of Sigma Chi House Corporation. McKenzie holds a B.A. in Political Science and History from The Ohio State University and a J.D. from Capital University Law School.



Jennifer Flatter

Jennifer serves as Chief Executive Officer for Impact Ohio and has more than 15 years of experience in government affairs. While earning her bachelor’s degree at Capital University, she got her start in government relations while interning with The Success Group. She returned to the firm in 2011, after working in legislative affairs for the Ohio Department of Commerce, where she served as lead staff on Ohio’s Foreclosure Prevention Task Force and focused on housing, real estate, financial institution, and federal policy issues. Previously, she served as a legislative aide in the Ohio Senate and on the Ohio Council on Women and Girls. Jennifer holds a master’s degree in Public Administration from Ohio University and currently is President of Ohio Women in Government.  She was named a recipient of the Columbus Business First 40 Under 40 award.



Anthony Aquillo

Anthony has experience working in private and public sector positions dedicated to legislative issues and public policy. Prior to joining The Success Group, Anthony gained valuable knowledge within the Ohio Senate while serving members in Senate Leadership as a Legislative Aide and Senior Legislative Aide. Through these positions, Anthony worked closely with the senators to craft legislation on a variety of different policy areas. He previously served as a constituent aide within the Ohio House of Representatives and as a legislative intern for a Columbus-based lobbying firm. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.
